Artemisia dracunculus
French tarragon is a herbaceous perennial grown for its slender leaves and tender shoot tips. Bought as nursery divisions and planted out in late spring, it occupies a permanent plot, dying back completely in autumn and returning reliably for three to five years if protected from waterlogged ground.
