Brassica oleracea var. gongylodes
A hardy biennial brassica grown as an annual, kohlrabi is cultivated for its swollen stem base and edible leaves. Successional outdoor sowings go into the ground from April to July, occupy the plot for eight to twelve weeks, and do not return after harvest.
