Rubus fruticosus
The tayberry is a deciduous perennial cane fruit yielding elongated, reddish-purple berries that are a hybrid cross of a blackberry and a red raspberry. Planted dormant between November and March, it occupies a permanent post-and-wire trellis for over a decade and crops in July and August on stems grown the previous year.
