Ribes nidigrolaria
A jostaberry is a vigorous, deciduous, thornless perennial shrub grown for its dark purple berries, bred as a hybrid between blackcurrant and gooseberry. Bare-root bushes are planted during winter dormancy from November to March, remain in the ground as permanent fixtures for up to twenty years, and crop each July and August.
