Corylus avellana
The cobnut is a hardy perennial deciduous shrub or small tree grown for its edible nuts, which are cultivated forms of hazelnut. Bare-root bushes are planted during dormancy between November and March, occupying a permanent station for decades and cropping each autumn once established after three to four years.
