Levisticum officinale
Lovage is a vigorous, hardy perennial herb whose leaves, young stems, roots, and seeds are harvested for culinary seasoning. It is sown or planted out in spring, occupies a dedicated permanent position for decades reaching up to two metres each summer, and dies back over winter before re-emerging in early spring.
